Zzaam Fresh Korean Grill in Charlottesville

We have been here several times, and its always a tasty treat. While its certainly not "traditional" Korean, it has many delicious flavors that you can combine in a rice or noodle bowl. The tofu is great, for those who don't eat meat, and their tofu stew is another yummy option. It is rarely too busy, so there is always somewhere to sit, and the upstairs area has a fun feel to it, as well. The staff is always helpful and the price is very reasonable. We will definitely be back

Worst Korean restaurant I have ever visited. It resembles Korean food in a vague way, but tastes like something made by someone who has never tasted authentic Korean food.

This is a decent choice, but far from real Korean food. I have been to many Korean restarants. This is no Korean. What I like: Fast, ready to eat. Clean. Not hard to find. Some choices. What I dislike: Too salty, lack of subtlety, and not a real Korean.

We will definitely come back enjoyed our meal good portions clean restaurant and friendly service. Parking is limited.

Awesome place!! Really tasty, reasonably priced, and you can get lots of veggies. My dad is obsessed with this place and we go every time he visits. Zzaam me up!!

I have been to korea this is just like being there! Food is hot m allergic to beef and pork this owner understands cross contamination. Vegetables were fresh and crisp food portions are generous. Great lunch alternative close to uva service is fast

Great food, really quick service, inexpensive

Good Korean done Fast-Food Style. Service polite and quick. Apparently started life as a Food truck! Generous portions. Not fancy but well done; one Noodle Bowl does me for the whole day (leftovers!). Prices very reasonable. Now my favorite stop for Asian style food!

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Charlottesville! Not only is the food absolutely delicious, it's also super filling and very reasonably priced. I'm so glad it's available through Order Up too!

We love eating here. You can get build your rice and noodle bowls, street ramen, and Korean tacos. Not being Korean, I can't speak to it's authenticity but it has been delicious every time we have eaten there!

Pretty good Asian food. Convenient location. Ramen was great. Rice bowl was good. Soda machine was out of order - looked like it had been for some time.

The food here is great and fairly cheap considering what you are getting. The staff have never been anything but friendly. I highly recommend it.

Everything you deserve in a fast casual restaurant. Generous meat portions and flavorful sides. An A+ alternative to Chipotle.

If you're on the fence about trying Zzaam, just go do it. The restaurant offers delicious, quick-serve Korean food for a great price. Lots of options, from rice and noodle bowls to salads and burritos. You can also make any dish as spicy as you like. From getting there to ordering to eating, you're likely in and out of there in 25 minutes. Go try it!

Its like the better version of chipotle. A korean chipotle but the combinations can actually taste different. Vegan options 💚

I really love Zzaam. The setup is like a Subway or a Chipotle, cafeteria style, where you walk along with your noodle bowl artist to make the perfect bibi mipmap. This is also done to great effect at places like Mezeh for Mediterranean style, but here at Zzaam, the intent is mass-consumption Korean. Started by the owner of SweetFrog, another local success, this place has great potential. If you like Korean, rice bowls, noodle bowls, fresh veg, and fried eggs (for a small extra charge) you should get here. Also, try to come when it's nice enough to sit outside, as the second floor bar opens to a lovely 8 person seating area.

Delicious and inexpensive! Great atmosphere, there is a bar upstairs and nice outside seating. Love the Kpop playing in the background, l like to pretend I'm in a Korean Drama. Lol, fun fun! Will be back..

Great kim chee burritos!

Korean food, freshly prepared with traditional vegetable options. This place is great, one of my favorites in Cville for a quick and cheap lunch. For newcomers, I'd recommend the rice bowl (Bibimbap). You choose the rice, meat, optional egg, and six toppings - mostly vegetables, kim-chee, etc). They even have a cheaper kids sized bowl with 3 toppings for 5 bucks! The Korean Ramen bowl is also a great choice. Aside from the standard fare fountain drinks, they have a small beer selection including a couple craft beer items. Generally well kept and clean. My only grip is there is some serious resistance to the doors. But once you manage to get inside the building, the experience is pretty good.

Awesome fresh food. It's so rare a quick service place offers non-canned or non-frozen veggies. Taste is great as well.
